Georgia O'Keeffe

I have just discovered Georgia O'Keeffe's artwork in all its colorful and flowing glory. I think her artwork is very interesting especially since she started her career doing mostly abstract and moving into more representational artwork. Perhaps this is why she approached painting in a unique way.

The more I search for things and people that inspire me, the more I realize that what inspires me is greatness or proficiency in any craft. It is certain that Georgia was a proficient painter.

Georgia is mostly known for her flowing vagina-esque paintings of flowers which she denied any feminist attribution to them(according to Wikipedia).

Georgia's husband Alfred Stieglitz took 350 portraits of which she said about later "I felt somehow that the photographs had nothing to do with me personally."
